STREET SWEEPING CHANGES
Street Sweeping will be changed to Mondays and Fridays, beginning the week of January 18-22, 2010. There will no longer be street sweeping on Thursdays. This change is necessary to eliminate having trash collection service and street sweeping service on the same day. Signs will be changed on the weekend of January 8,9 & 10, 2010.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Be a part of the Youth Employment Program from January 1, 2010 to March 31, 2010!
The Occupational Therapy Training Program is offering 120 hours PAID work experience. This is a great work experience and job training opportunity.

HIGH-EFFICIENCY TOILET REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
The City of Maywood has been awarded a conservation grant from the California Department of Water Resources, which includes funding through the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to provide free high-efficiency toilets, including installation for qualifying multi-family properties. GRAFFITI ABATEMENT PROGRAM
The City has contracted with Graffiti Protective Coatings Inc. to remove graffiti in our City. GPC started on September 1, 2001, and will be paid from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies.
