LAUSD NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act, has prepared an Amended Draft Environmental Impact Report in compliance with the CEQA Statutes and Guidelines for the project South Region High School No. 8. UPDATE ON THE (CDBG) NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The current Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Neighborhood Sidewalk Improvement Project began in early August 2012 and affects primarily the northwest area of the City. The boundaries of the Project are roughly defined by Everett Ave. on the west, Pine Ave. on the east, 52nd St. on the north and 55th St. on the south. This is a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded project and is scheduled for completion by the end of September 2012. Attached is a map of the project area and a list of sidewalks, curbs and gutters by address or location that have been repaired in this current cycle of sidewalk improvements. I-710 CORRIDOR PROJECT
The California Dept. of Transportation (Caltrans) has completed the Draft Enrivonmental Report/Environmental Impact Statement for the I-710 Corridor Project. The Draft EIR/EIS is available on this website:

MAYWOOD DIAL-A-RIDE PROGRAM 2013
Effective January 2, 2013, the City of Maywood will no longer provide Dial-A-Ride service to the general public. Dial-A-Ride service will only be available to City of Maywood residents 62 years and over or those with a physician-certified disability which prohibits the use of public transportation. Individuals requiring special assistance will be permitted to have an attendant accompany them. For more info, see MaywoodDial-A-RideFlyer.pdf
HIGH-EFFICIENCY TOILET REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
The City of Maywood has been awarded a conservation grant from the California Department of Water Resources, which includes funding through the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to provide free high-efficiency toilets, including installation for qualifying multi-family properties. GRAFFITI ABATEMENT SERVICES
The City has contracted with Graffiti Protective Coatings Inc. to remove graffiti in our City. GPC started on September 1, 2001 and will be paid from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies.
Please call to report any graffiti to the graffiti abatement 24 hour "hotline", the number is (888) 336-3353 OR (323) 562-5700 (Option 7).

CITY OF MAYWOOD POLICE SERVICES
As of Thursday, July 1, 2010, the City of Maywood contracted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as its policing service provider. Despite this change, Maywood residents will continue to dial 911 FOR ALL EMERGENCY SERVICES. Non-emergency matters should call 323-264-4151 and will be handled from two locations. East LA Sheriffs Station/Jail The nearby East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station will address non-emergency police questions and concerns including requests for police reports and auto towing issues, which occurred AFTER the Sheriff’s, began working in Maywood on July 1, 2010.
