• 18-24 years old and out of school
• Must meet income requirements
• Must live in Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, Lynwood, South Gate, Cudahy, and Maywood
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to provide required documentation

You may be eligible for the once-in-a-lifetime Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) and receive monetary assistance (paid directly to your landlord and/or utility company) for such expenses as:

• Security deposit
• Utility turn-on fee
• Back-due rent and/or utilities (gas/electric only)

• Deposito de Arrendamiento
• Pagos de Apertura de Servicios Publicos
• Pagos para renta atrasada y servicios publicos atrasados (gas/electricidad solamente)

The City of Maywood is a participant in the Los Angeles Gateway Authority Catch Basin Insert project for the Los Angeles River Watershed.  Funding has been provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Clean Water Revolving Fund through an agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board.

A grant was awarded to some of the Southeast cities to install the required NPDES storm drain catch basin inserts from the ARRA stimulus grant monies issued by the Federal Government. The work will take about a year to complete in all of the cities that are involved.

Street Sweeping will be changed to Mondays and Fridays, beginning the week of January 18-22, 2010.  There will no longer be street sweeping on Thursdays.  This change is necessary to eliminate having trash collection service and street sweeping service on the same day.  Signs will be changed on the weekend of January 8,9 & 10, 2010.

There will be a grace period on citations until the week of February 1, 2010.  Bulky items will continue to be collected free of charge on Thursday, your regular trash collection day.  Please call Consolidated Disposal Service when you have Bulky items that you wish to discard.  We are here to serve you.  Should you have any questions, please contact the Customer Service Department at 1(800) 299-4898 or (562) 347-4000.

Un cambio en su Servicio de Barredora:
Los dias de servicio de barredora serán cambiados a los Lunes y Viernes, a partir de la semana de Enero 18-22, 2010. Las calles dejarán de ser barridas los jueves. Este cambio es necesario para no tener el servicio de recolección de basura y servicio de barredora el mismo día. Los letreros se cambiarán el fin de semana de Enero 8,9 y 10, de 2010. Habrá un período de gracia en las citaciones, hasta la semana del 1 de Febrero de 2010. Los artículos voluminosos seguirán siendo recogidos de forma gratuita el Jueves, día regular de recolección de basura. Por favor llame a Consolidated Disposal Service cuando tenga articulos voluminosos que desea tirar. Estamos aquí para servirle.
