Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement program's goal is to:

  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment
  • Aid in eliminating substandard housing
  • Removing blighted conditions
  • Promoting property maintenance
  • Enforcing conformance with City zoning and building ordinances, as well as State and County Health codes

Complaints

Please call Code Enforcement at 323-562-5730 for any questions or fill out the online Complaint Form for a request for an investigation. You may also fill out the Complaint Form (PDF).

myMaywood App

The myMaywood App allows residents to submit a request regarding any blight in the City. The app allows you to easily report issues such as graffiti to the City of Maywood. The app requires you to submit a report which allows you to choose from the following options:

  • Bulky Items(s)
  • Bus stops
  • Graffiti removal
  • Signs-illegal posting
  • Street light outages
  • Code violations

Once you select which issue you are reporting, it will allow you to upload or take a picture of the issue. Please provide a brief description of the issue. The app will allow you to type in a location manually or use your location to find the issue. Next, it will allow you to submit you information and you can choose to either stay anonymous or you can provide your contact information to receive updates. Once you complete that you can review your report and submit it.
