Fair Housing
The City of Maywood has a Fair Housing Program to provide a service that includes investigation of complaints alleging housing discrimination, unsolicited audits, landlord/tenant counseling and dispute resolution. The City contracts with the Fair Housing Foundation (FHF) to resolve tenant and landlord conflicts and to investigate and document housing discrimination complaints. First-Time Homebuyers Programs
The City of Maywood currently does not provide any First-Time Homebuyers assistance.
For all other first-time homebuyers interested to purchase in Maywood or within the eligible Census Tract Boundaries, the Los Angeles Community Development Commission (LACDC) offers financial assistance with down payment assistance loans including closing cost assistance, federal income tax credits, and below market rate loan programs. LACDC offers:
- Down Payment Assistance (DPA)
- The Home Ownership Program (HOP)
- Housing Economic Recovery Ownership (HERO)
- The Mortgage Credit Certificate Program (MCC)
