Homelessness Resources
In conjunction with the City of Bell Homeless Liaison, the City of Maywood designed a Homeless Resource Guide, ensuring homeless and impoverished members of our community receive structured, goal-oriented homelessness assistance and resources.
The Homeless Resource Guide provides referral services from diverse organizations for Food Programs, Mental Health Programs, Homeless Shelters & Services, Crisis Lines. The intent is to ensure that those in need have the resources to lift themselves to a safe, stable environment without enabling those for whom addiction, crime, and vagrancy are a continuing choice.
The City of Maywood is committed to end Homelessness by being responsive to the community’s needs and quality of life improvement. The homelessness plan is as follow:
- Prevention of people experiencing homelessness
- Increasing access to individuals to attain subsidized housing
- Improve income opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness and impoverished members of our community
- Enhancing case management and employment services for members of the community
- Creating a coordinated system with all networks
For more information about the action against homelessness, please view the City of Maywood Homelessness Plan.
