CITY OF MAYWOOD UPDATE: EFFECTIVE ON MARCH 25, 2020 A CALL FOR THE CLOSURE OF ALL MAYWOOD PLAYGROUNDS, ALL POCKET PARKS, AND THE MAYWOOD PARK WAS MADE DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
In efforts to slow the pandemic of COVID-19, the City of Maywood has ordered the immediate closure of ALL playgrounds, ALL pocket parks, and the closure of Maywood Park.
This includes the immediate closure of all of the following:
CLOSED :Maywood Park | 4801 E. 58th Street |
CLOSED: Playground at Riverfront Park |
5000 Slauson Avenue |
CLOSED: Pine Avenue Park | 5313 Pine Avenue |
CLOSED: Pixely Park | 3626 E. 56th Street |
CLOSED: Benito Jaurez Park |
5515 Maywood Avenue |
The Community Services Department, formerly known as the Parks and Recreation Department, maintains all of the parks in the City and offers many various activities and programs.
BASEBALL FIELD
The baseball field located at 4801 E. 58th Street is operated and maintained by the City.
For reservations please fill out a park permit and turn it in to City Hall during permitting hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Y.M.C.A.
The Y.M.C.A., formerly known as the Maywood Activities Center (M.A.C.), is available for general public use and offers a wide variety of classes, specialty rooms, a pool and a safe place for clubs and classes to meet.

11/02/2020- The City of Maywood in partnership with Curative will be hosting a COVID-19 testing site at the Maywood City Hall launching November 4, 2020.Walk-ups are accepted, pre-registration is prefered.

11/25/2020 The City of Maywood will be hosting their annual home decorating competition applications are due December 14th please review the flyer for guidelines, you may download your application here or pick yours up at City Hall. You may also submit an electronic application using the portal.
All physical applications should be dropped off at City Hall during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm
